In celebration of Universal Orlando Resort’s annual Mardi Gras event, Orlando DP/Partner Dan Beckmann helped kick off Fat Tuesday with a time-honored tradition!

Outside the gates of Universal Studios Florida

Shooting high-definition on the Panasonic VariCam, Beckmann helped Universal Orlando Executive Chef Steven Jayson capture a web-destined cooking segment on a Mardi Gras favorite – jambaylaya!

Lead Digital Artist Giovanni Sensat put his appetite aside and his editing skills to work, showing the step-by-step creation of an all-time favored dish!

Throughout the morning, all four local Orlando network affiliates brought out their reporters for a series of “live shots” to help celebrate the excitement of the event.

After the shoot, Beckmann, cameraman Dan Lowrey, and Executive Producer Sue Stauffer, enjoyed the ‘fruits of their labor”: steaming-hot bowls of fresh New Orleans style jambaylaya!
