Roger behind the camera for a series of interviews

As Nick and I made the trip out to Valdese, North Carolina, my mind raced with excitement for numerous reasons.  For starters, I’d been on NASCAR for 6 months. And, I had friend and fellow GTT crew, Nick Modisett as Audio. Plus, working with talented producers Joey Popp and his wife, Catherine added to my delight–they are always a pleasure to work with. Our goal: To help get the word out about the quality furniture being produced in North Carolina’s backyard.

We jam-packed the day with interviews. We shot nine total, including company presidents.  Then I ventured onto the factory floor to capture the craftsmanship in action.  Nick and I  explored the beautiful countryside of North Carolina and took advantage of the surroundings to film some scenic shots.

We used the Catawba River as a backdrop and two HMI’s to light our subjects… the interviews looked as fantastic as they sounded. Quality work combined with a beautiful environment creates and inspires masterful work!

I could not have asked for a better day working with Joey and Catherine Popp, and Nick. When we finished for the day, all I could was think about how much I can’t wait to do it again. Bring on the corporate video shoots.
