Director of Photography Dan Beckman based in Orlando Florida
Dan Beckmann is not only our Orlando based DP, but is also a partner with Go To Team. As a former staff editor, cameraman and producer for NBC News in the Tel Aviv bureau, Dan helped cover the continuation of the Middle East peace process for the Today Show, Nightly News, MSNBC and Dateline. His travels have taken him throughout the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Along the way, Dan learned to speak Arabic, Hebrew and Italian.
In addition to covering high profiled news stories, including – 9-11 coverage from Ground Zero, four Super Bowls, the Iraq War, Air Force One with Tom Brokaw, the Olympics in Torino, and Barack Obama’s presidential campaign with Brian Williams – Dan also delivers a wide array of marketing and entertainment-related product. Recently, he traveled to Helsinki, Finland, to join the launch team of the world’s largest cruise ship – Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas – where he captured daily “webisode” stories chronicling the 7,000 mile journey across the Atlantic Ocean to its new home port in Florida.
Dan has also tackled other assignments that have garnered world-wide attention: The grand opening of the Atlantis Resort in Dubai, on the Palm Jumeirah Island in the United Arab of Emirates – episodic television for A&E TV – and behind the scenes EPK’s on the set of feature films with stars, such as, John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as national commercials with Tiger Woods.
As an accomplished Director of Photography, Dan also shoots commercials, international documentaries, SMT’s, VNR’s, training and teaching videos, EPK’s, corporate videos and concerts. The A-List of musicians Dan has worked with covers some of the biggest names in the industry: Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Barbara Streisand, Janet Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, and Stevie Wonder, to name a few. Dan also traveled on the road with Aerosmith for their Honkin’ on Bobo” tour in 2004.

Dan is based in Orlando, with 4 offices on the back lot of Universal Studios Florida. Being in central Florida allows us to cover Jacksonville up north, Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater in the west and Miami and the Keys down south, and he’s only an hour away from Daytona and Cape Canaveral. Our dedicated fiber line also gives us opportunities to feed footage or live shots anywhere in the world – anytime –day or night!
